Housing & Relocation

Seeking Stable Housing
Near Nashville, Tennessee at 70

A senior woman relocating to Tennessee to be near family. Here's my plan, my progress, and exactly where your support goes.

Why Tennessee?

My daughter and grandchildren live in the Williamson County area, near Nashville. My grandchildren are in 9th and 7th grade โ€” at an age where having their grandmother nearby matters. You can read my full recovery story here.

I'm currently in SRO housing in Los Angeles. It's stable for now, but it's not home. Home is where my family is.

I'm targeting subsidized senior housing in Williamson County and surrounding areas โ€” Rutherford County (Murfreesboro) and Montgomery County (Clarksville) โ€” where waitlists tend to be shorter and senior resources are strong.

I am seeking stable housing in the Nashville, Tennessee area โ€” including Williamson County, Rutherford County, and surrounding Middle Tennessee communities where my family lives. My goal is to find affordable senior housing that allows me to live independently near my grandchildren while continuing my recovery and rebuilding journey.

Medical Considerations

I'm on Medicare and Medicaid (currently through AltaMed in California). After relocating, I'll rely on Medicare and apply for Tennessee Medicaid if my California coverage doesn't transfer.

My ongoing medical needs include specialist visits for nerve damage, pain medication, physical therapy, and assistive equipment. Finding providers who accept Medicare in the Nashville area is part of my preparation.

Health is not optional โ€” it's the foundation everything else is built on.

Help a Senior Woman Get Home

Every donation, every share, every kind word brings me closer to my grandchildren in Tennessee. I'm building this deliberately โ€” and I'm grateful for every step you help me take.
